Many changes have happenned since we started our entrepreneurial activity and we learned a lot! We are like a small fish which is getting bigger, moving from the red sea to the blue ocean.
At the beginning we were focusing on just one market sector for a specific customer segment... we failed in recognizing our customer! Our problem was, we did not know who our customer was. Huge problem! Once we identified our customer, we realized we were probably not in the correct market sector considering our solution, so after analizing the market again, we decided to pivot the market sector and re-define the customer again.
This time we were doing much better! However, by applying LEAN methodology, we showed our solution to the new customers and we realized they were glad that we brought the RFID solution, but not impressed. These customers where doing some questions about the technology which was a hidden tip or advice of what they really wanted:
Do these RFID tag monitor the location in real-time? (Hidden tip: Customers wanted real-time data)
Which is the less costly RFID reader? (Hidden tip: Customers did not want to spend much in hardware and devices)
Could you add sensoring into the RFID tags? (Hidden tip: Customers wanted not only to identify, but also to sens their assets)
Could we do pay the amount monthly? (Hidden tip: Customers prefer to have flexibility in payments)
All these questions led to an internal debate: Are we capable of doing a "Real-time geolocation, temperature and on-Air button monitoring system"? That is in fact an Internet of Things device! Yes! Let's do it! So we did it! (this is our device)
Now, we are offering this device to our beta testers, to check whether it is what the market is asking for, if not, we will redefine ourselves once again.
