As we mentioned some post ago, our start-up applied for the Bind 4.0 acceleration program.
Today we have a good piece of news to communicate to you:
Out of 385 start-ups who applied for the program, only 82 have been pre-selected for the next phase and we are one of them!
From Stockare we would like to congratulate and hope the best for every of theses start-ups!
However, the selection proccess has not ended yet. Now, we are preparing our pitching to present our disruptive proposal to the mentors and large companies who will evaluate each project. It is true that we are keeping our project proposal as a little secret yet, but don't worry, as we will lauch it during the first quarter of 2018 (whether we have finally accepted or not) and you will know about it. Imagine that we recently we have been working together with the ICT Deparment of a hospital.
One of the many objetives to achieve in their deparment may be to improve the asset management process by the efficient use of resources avoiding human errors. Before starting identifying each asset or resource, it is essential to embed these tasks as part of a small project and to have a clear understaning of which the scope and main objectives of the project are.
For this example, we will use a very particular asset which needs special cautelar management and cleaning procedures: Ureterorenoscopes.
These devices are washed through an automated process, without human intervention. However, each type of ureterorenoscope needs a different washing program and here comes where identification of these assets is crucial so the washing-machine can adjust the program.
All the information, not only for these kind of devices, but also for beds, troleys, packages, patients, visits, can be easily managed by applying identification tags to each assets and creat its life-cycle.
These kind of small projects, have a great impact in the overall management of the project and its efficientness as it provides instant information of every important asset to be tracked.

Stockare has always had a very proactive and strong R+D+i department, ready to bring new ideas in, and today we are going to talk about: Battery Assisted Passive UHF RFID tag for Cold Chain Monitoring.
New products, technologies and innovation are entering the market every day, and keeping an eye on them is essential if we are going to bring our Vision to a reality: "to be known as an innovative company capable of bringing disruptive technologies to apply them on the market"
In this case, we carried out the UHF RFID Temperature sensoring project developed by an intership program in collaboration with the Telecomunication department of EHU-UPV, University of the Basque Country.
The aim of the project was to develop a complete UHF RFID Temperature sensoring system, using Stockare KF500 Fixed RFID Reader and a special UHF RFID temperature logger, commercialized by another young yet successful RFID sensoring start-up from San Sebastian, FARSENS "Endless opportunities", which for us has been an example to follow. Logos-T was the temperature logger used for this project, in order to be applied to the cold-chain and supply chain process, due to its durability and low cost. After concluding the testing period by heating and cooling the sensor, it logged the registration of the temperature and time stamp in the system. Wooooow! It was working!
These kind of projects push our knowledge forward and we realize that even the RFID is a very old technology, recently new ways to jump from identification to sensorization are emerging in the market, opening the doors for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)

Stockare RFID Solutions is alway Reseaching and Developing projects to add value to our company and to easily offer this benefits to the market. Now a days, RFID and specially UHF RFID is used for identification or "semi-location" purposes. That is the present.
If we have a closer look to the future, new RFID sensors, have emerged into the market, and we already finished a project, in collaboration with a Telecommunication Engineering Project of "Universidad del País Vasco - Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea".
The objective of the project is to provide a RFID temperature tracker for cold-chain monitoring.
The RFID Tag, with a temperature sensor attached to it, can log the temperature information. We used Farsens Logos-T UHF RFID Sensor, which is a Battery Assisted Passive (BAP) RFID Tag and can be working continously for a year and the KF500 RFID Reader

Stockare RFID Solution was been selected to develop a European Project, under one of the Horizon 2020 (H2020) projects: Neptune Blue Growth Accelerator.
With the support of the "Cluster de Movilidad y Logística de Euskadi" which Stockare is member of and in collaboration with "Drone by Drone" company, the EUROPEAN Project presented to NEPTUNE by "Stockare RFID Solutions" and "Drone by Dron" has been accepted.
The main objective of the project is to develop a Drone, which can read RFID tags located along large storage warehouse, ports or landscapes.
The project can have many applications in the port logistics sectors or others, like agroindustry sector, oil and gas, ...
In this blog, we will keep you updated about the development of the project, and we are open to our readers to send us more ideas or other applications that could be useful for this project.

It's has been some years already since we started this adventure on elaborating the idea to become a reality.
We started small, but we knew our idea could work out.
We also were aware that the way woudn't be easy, to the contrary, but the success depended on us, on how much we believe in the Stockare project.
At the beginning we were just focusing the RFID concept for a specific application in a small market. That was a fail.
We started to redesign all the StoCloud Web App structure, so RFID solutions could be modular, escalable, secure and easy to use.
Each module is design for a specific application, i.e. the "Stock Control Module" controls the stock and replenishment system. Therefore, users can add and remove these modules depending on their needs.
Most of our visitors, followers and readers, understand how RFID systems work in general and how Stockare RFID Systems works. For this specific segment, we would like to offer the chance to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, so we can offer our solutions with a better discount, as readers already have the knowledge to implement (already pre-configured by Stockare) RFID "Plug&Play" systems.
